Community Health Needs Assessment

Understanding Local Health Needs to Drive Community Change

Georgetown Health Foundation holds a partnership interest in St. David’s HealthCare, a leading network of hospitals and healthcare facilities serving Central Texas. This includes St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, located right here in our community.

St. David’s HealthCare is committed to serving the region under the community benefit standard and in alignment with the Affordable Care Act. As part of this commitment, the system regularly conducts Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) to better understand the health strengths, challenges, and priorities across Central Texas. These assessments help inform how hospitals, foundations, and partners like GHF can invest in strategies that improve health and well-being—especially through collaborative, community-driven solutions.

What’s Included in a CHNA?

Each CHNA identifies and analyzes key health trends, community priorities, and areas for growth based on extensive input from residents, community organizations, and health data. The findings guide implementation plans that address local needs in a coordinated, measurable way. The CHNA reports listed below cover Georgetown and Williamson County, as well as broader Central Texas regions served by St. David’s HealthCare, including Austin, Travis County, Bastrop County, and Hays County.
