Before applying, ensure your organization meets the necessary eligibility requirements. Review our eligibility criteria to confirm your qualifications.

If eligible, the next step is submitting an electronic Letter of Intent (LOI) by the specified deadline. To begin, create an account in our secure grant portal. For details on the LOI process, refer to our Grants FAQ.
Once your LOI is reviewed, you will receive one of the following notifications: • Invitation to Submit a Full Grant Application – If your LOI aligns with our funding priorities, you will be invited to complete a full application. • Conclusion of Process – If your proposal does not align with our priorities, you will be notified that your process has concluded for this grant cycle.
To qualify for funding, applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving Georgetown residents and meeting at least one of the following criteria:
• ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households earning at or below Williamson County’s ALICE Threshold. Examples of ALICE Thresholds for Williamson County households can be found on our FAQ page... • Families in financial crisis due to job loss or other hardships. • Households with significant non-income-based needs, such as individuals facing terminal illness, disabilities, or mental health challenges.

Full Grant Application Process
Organizations invited to proceed will receive instructions to submit a comprehensive grant application. This includes providing detailed programmatic and financial information.
Review & Funding Decisions
Following the application deadline, the GHF Grants Committee carefully evaluates each submission. Once the review process is complete: • Applicants will be notified of their funding status. • If awarded a grant, recipients will receive funding details and next steps. 1. Letter of Intent (LOI): Submit electronically by January 28, 2026, through GHF’s grant portal.
2. Invitation to Apply: Organizations with aligned missions will be invited to submit a full proposal.
3. Proposal Submission: Due Friday, March 27, 2026.
4. Review & Awards: Funding decisions announced week of May 25, 2026.
GHF does not fund:
• Direct support to individuals
• For-profit organizations
• Clinical trials
• Political or lobbying activities
• Programs that exclude participants based on race, religion, age, gender, or sexual orientation
• Religious programs serving exclusive faith-based purposes
• Private or charter schools
Funding Threshold Policy
Grant requests should not exceed 25% or more of an applicant’s total organizational budget in any given year.
Overhead/Administrative Funding Policy
While Georgetown Health Foundation understands that nonprofit organizations require support for overhead/administrative expenses, we will request the rationale for an overhead threshold at or above 20%.
